APARTMENT 1B's FROZEN PIE

Apartment 1B is full of wonderful surprises. I was first taken in by their eggs benedict. Their scrambled egg whites became my next best item on the menu. But I've been going there a LOT (my friend Rhea keeps bumping into me and at one point hollered, 'Dito ka na ba nakatira?!') and each time I order something on the menu, I fall in love with the restaurant all over again. I haven't gotten the courage (I know it's so not like me) to say hi to the owner - also because I'm there so much it might get awkward - but I gotta say I'm a big fan of her cooking. Pictured above is my latest discovery - their FROZEN PIE. It's ice cream inside hugged all around by an oreo crust, drizzled with nuts and topped with caramel and chocolate syrup. Oh. My. God. I have to text Lori about this if she hasn't tried it yet!

this looks mouthwatering! paul and i were supposed to try apartment 1B 2 weeks ago but the place was filled up and i was hungry na so we moved to try another place instead.
That's the white toblerone cheesecake... yup, she's tried it all. We made her taste every single dessert there. Lol.
Margaux, I envy you. I've only been to Apt 1B twice, and that was earlier this year. Been dying to go back. And yes, Mila's right, I tasted ALL their desserts on my first visit there. :p
LOL! lori ya beat me to the text! every time i try a new dessert i think of you :)
mila if i'm not mistaken i think iba yung white toblerone cheesecake - haven't tried that - but i'll double check when i visit again. this one's called Frozen Pie. i've only tried this, the creme brulee (not sold on it) and the chocolate cake which reminded me of becky's kitchen chocolate cake.
fran - there are less people in the morning and the brunch menu's the best.
I may be the only one who likes their carrot cake then. It's a bit spicy, reminds me of a spice cake I used to have in HK.
I love their eggs benedict. Wouldn't it be nice if they just offered their breakfast menu all day long?
I love the name of this restaurant! Before I read your post, I just assumed you were talking about a neighbor's recipe;)
Mila and Lori, I haven't been back since that one time! I've been wanting to try their brunch...your post has convinced me that one of these days I should get up early enough to do so! ;-)
