Samsung and Food Invite Public to International Holiday Foodfest
Food lovers and culinary enthusiasts are invited to Samsung Home Appliance and Food Magazine’s Holiday Food Festival on October 21-22 (Sunday and Monday) at the Grand Sunset Pavilion of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
A dinner of favorite Christmas dishes from various countries, exclusive homemade bazaar treats for gift-giving, and free culinary seminars await festival visitors, buyers and exhibitors.
Experience a delicious kind of global harmony as you savor international holiday delicacies prepared by Sofitel’s world-class chefs such as bibingka and puto bumbong from the Philippines, bone ham carving from Switzerland, barbecued chicken and sweet potato skewers from Australia, buche de Noel (Yule log) from France, and turkey burgers with stuffing and gravy from America. Diners may choose from any of these selections.
The bazaar also showcases homemade delicacies by exclusive participants whose products have been known for their consistent excellent quality, such as Christmas cakes and pastries, gourmet dips and sauces, cookies and bars, and home-cured hams and sausages.
Free seminar lectures include easy holiday table setting, food giftwrapping ideas, light and luscious holiday cooking, turning your food specialty into a business, chocolate sculpting, Christmas pastries, cookie house decorating, and many others.
Sponsored by McCormick, Meralco, Goldilocks, Elba, Lifestyle Network, and Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, the event opens Oct 21 at 10:00 a.m. with a parade of Santa chefs. Raffle prizes include Oster home appliances, a free baking and pastry arts or culinary arts course worth P49,800 at Center for Culinary Arts, trip for two to Boracay by Seair, Glad products, and many more. Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Entrance tickets are at P100, and P50 for students. Food Magazine subscribers get one free ticket each.
