The old Bo's Coffee in Glorietta IV is gone but in its place now is Piadina. IMHO you can't fail in serving reliable Italian favorites. Hence, the success of Cibo, Italiannis, Sbarro. But whereas these other three have become institutions, if I may use that word, in their own right, Piadina somehow seems to fall short.
It has a menu that is as confusing as an algebra exam. There are just too many items and too much information. It's an attempt, I gather, to show their objective of bringing the customer a taste of Italy from almost all parts of Italy. But really, to the hungry consumer, it just takes extra time in making up our minds. And truth be told, not a lot have been to Italy and can relate, so why bother?
There's too much on the menu to be able to give at this point a determination as to what is recommendable and what is not. Clearly it will take some time.
Price points are at around P250 for a dish. That's regular Makati mall prices for you.
I do hope this restaurant lasts though. We do need more choices at Glorietta IV before catching that last full show.
PIADINA.
