I have a confession to make: having something like 3 jobs/clients (political/corp PR, food writing, Nana Meng's) is a blessing but it is not easy. SO oftentimes I have emails left unopened or texts that I take 700 weeks to reply to. To those who have been affected by this, SORRY!!!
I'm just another girl trying to make it in this world.
What keeps me going - aside from the need to survive, haha - are success stories from people like Rich Sanz of Bibingkinitan. We had started our businesses at around the same time (I learned later when I got the chance to interview Rich for Inquirer. Story here.) He opened Tea Square and I had opened Nana Meng's at Market! Market! Both kiosks didn't make much money - I guess the Market! Market! crowd just wasn't our target demographic.
BUT since then, Sanz closed Tea Square and opened Bibingkinitan and his success story is the envy of all aspiring entrepreneurs. His story made browse the web about franchising and Chit Juan, creator of another major major successful franchising story, Figaro, referred me to the "Franchise Guru" Butz Bartolome.
