Pedring. Man you ruined what would have been a perfect business trip by a friend. You should've arrived last Thursday instead!
A meeting with a Tourism Secretary and a dinner that included sous vide beef adobo on the menu canceled, what's a girl to do?
Drink a cup of really good hot chocolate.
Fortunately, I have a happy little collection.
Tonight's cup is from the West Coast from friends Dante and Daniel. It is the West Coast's response to New York's Wicked. The cinnamon is most prominent. Followed by the chili whose flavor sticks beautifully to the roof of your mouth. This version has more layers of flavor than Wicked, which is more forward with its chilies.
For my version of hot chocolate, I used low fat milk, adding the hot choco one the milk starts to boil. 2 spoons per cup. Based on the color, I may add a few spoons more until it reaches a good chocolate brown. No sugar added.
Thank you, Mexico, for introducing spicy hot chocolate to the world!
