So you can imagine how joyous I was when Mayor Hagedorn treated our party (invited to attend the Feast of the Forest festivities two weeks ago) to Seaside in Puerto Princesa.

Seaside's a simple restaurant on stilts, characteristic of restaurants near the beach. The first thing you notice is the long walkway to the restaurant which shows you mangroves and little fishes swimming through them. Next thing you notice is the wind. It's a very refreshing ambiance.

The best thing about Puerto Princesa is you can pig out on lobster. Fortunately, we were with the mayor so this was eat-all-you-can lobster. I guess the picture would describe it better.

Aside from the lobster, the fish dishes are also very fresh. Their lapu-lapu is especially delicious.

Imagine, in other countries, people would probably would pay over $50 just to enjoy this lobster which we were appreciating for less than P400/kilo! (less than $10!).

It's really true that you can get the best deals if you only know where to look!
