Prado Farms, Lubao, Pampanga: Gates and Doors (No food in this post!)

Eating break! This is not about food. I HAD to take these photos (copyright reserved!) of the very uniqe doors and gates at Prado Farm in Lubao, Pampanga. We went last May 7, thanks to a Facebook invite from Cyrene dela Rosa. The creator/artist is Reimon Guttierez, who (I'm told by Cyrene) used to design the interiors of the original Sari-Sari Stores.

The family's house is actually in the compound. But these are doors and gates in the entire compound. The parents are said to be members of Couples for Christ and they started developing the grounds for the retreats. Now it's open to the public but you can expect to be amazed not just by the organic produce that Reimon offers but by these doors and gates as well. I was.

Doors:

Gates:
A simple wooden gate:
The most creative gate I have ever seen. Check out the steering wheel, the Singer sewing machine part and what we think is a kind of fire extinguisher (!?):

More ways than one for an iron:
This gate leads to a stone dining area similar to the one in Cafe by the Ruins.

The place used to be an LPG refilling station. Reimon's mom said they couldn't throw anything out. Guess he's an obedient son - and created this gate instead!
